From the best plumber Vancouver WA 98682
I’m currently renovating a house that was built in 1995 (so 24 yrs old), the hot water/ heating system is a vented system with a cold water, hot water and expansion tank located in the attic.
All tanks are black HDPE tanks which are located within an enclosed, ventilated attic space (uninsulated attic but above a heated home so above freezing point due to heat loss through the insulation).
Since I’m renovating the house now, is it worth replacing these tanks? They’re showing no signs of damage or perishing (although they could do with a clean out), but I’ve been told by one or two people that these tanks have a design life of 20 to 30 years?
